Making seawater drinkable in minutes
Making seawater drinkable in minutes: A research team in Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT) has developed co-axial electrospun nanofiber membranes fabricated by an alternative nanotechnology, which is electrospinning. This new desalination technology shows it has the potential to help solve the world's freshwater shortage. The developed technology can prevent wetting issues and also improve the long-term stability in membrane distillation process.

Magnetized Threads Weave Spectacular Galactic Tapestry
Magnetized Threads Weave Spectacular Galactic Tapestry: Threads of superheated gas and magnetic fields are weaving a tapestry of energy at the center of the Milky Way galaxy. A new image of this new cosmic masterpiece was made using a giant mosaic of data from NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory and the MeerKAT radio telescope in South Africa.
