Hike with an Architect

Architectural design isn’t just about lines on paper or pixels on a screen. At every stage; concept sketches, client presentations; there’s a human element quietly shaping the outcome. Emotional intelligence, or the skill of reading people and responding with empathy and clarity, may not appear on a blueprint, but it’s often what keeps a project from derailing.
In the early design phase, for instance, sensing client’s unspoken priorities can be as critical as nailing the floor plan. Some clients talk about “more light” when what they really mean is “I want to feel less boxed in at home.” An architect who picks up on that gap between words and intent can steer discussions in a more meaningful direction; often saving weeks of revisions.
